Allison Clark is the Managing Director of the Business Development unit at the Washington State Department of Commerce, overseeing the business recruitment, retention, expansion and investment activities for the state. Before joining Commerce, Allison managed regional economic and workforce development programs at Highline Community College where she was also a part-time business faculty. She formerly managed export promotion and international trade programs in the King County Executive’s Office. Before arriving in Seattle, Allison worked for a Washington, DC – based trade association focusing on rural electrification and renewable energy projects located throughout the developing world. She holds a BA in political science from the Pennsylvania State University and an MA in international economics and Asian studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
